DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and plans the care management of individual patient using the 4-prong systematic approach to nursing delivery comprising assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Assists the Nurse Manager to set short and long-term goals for the unit.
  • Participates in action plans for the unit to enhance employee engagement and maximise employee performance.
  • Maintains current trends in nursing practice and management through formal education and self-development.
  • Participates in physician rounds and collaborate with physician and members of healthcare team to ensure the continuity of patient care and follow through of treatment plans.
  • Demonstrates competency in nursing core and special skills.
  • Supervises junior nursing personnel in providing quality nursing care.
  • Monitors and assess junior nurses’ competency progression and performance.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree qualification.
  • Registered Nurse with current nursing licence.
  • Post-basic qualification in related field is an added advantage.
