What Happens at the ED Unit

Your Visit to the Accident and Emergency Department

You will need to register your particulars or by your next of kin.

A nurse will assess the patient’s condition. Patients in need of urgent medical care will be prioritised and sorted, based on three category triage acuity systems:

  • Red Zone (Critical)
  • Yellow Zone (High Risk)
  • Green Zone (Non-Critical)
A Medical Officer will assess your condition, prioritised, and treat you in terms of clinical needs. Depending on your condition, you may have to undergo tests such as X-ray, and blood tests, as well as you may be discharged or warded.
If you have to be warded, our staff will inform you of the admission procedures and discuss your ward preferences before making the necessary arrangements. The duration of the admission depends on the severity of the condition and the necessary treatment.
You can collect your medication and complete payment at the registration counter.
ED Unit
