DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and supervise the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building structures including walls, flooring, roofing, ceilings, doors, windows, and drainage systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of building conditions and recommendpreventive or corrective actions
- Manage and monitor civil maintenance requests through a work order system.
- Ensure timely resolution of building-related defects, wear-and-tear issues, and safety hazards—especially in patient care and critical areas.
- Oversee small to medium-scale renovation, construction, and upgrading works, including modifications to clinical and non-clinical areas (e.g. wards, offices, support service areas).
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure all works comply with design plans, specifications, hospital guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, work schedule, and safety compliance during project execution.
- Ensure quality workmanship, timely completion, and cost control for all assigned projects.
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning (T&C), and handover processes.
- Escalate complex technical or unresolved issues to the M&E Executive, Engineer, or Unit Head for further action.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of tools, equipment, and checklists.
- Support equipment calibration and certification activities as required
- Attend and respond promptly to work orders and job requests, ensuring proper documentation and closure.
- Update the status and records of work orders and report progress to immediate superior.
- Respond to emergency calls and equipment breakdowns during assigned shifts, including after-office hours when required.
- Adhere strictly to Safe Work Procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure all maintenance and project activities comply with relevant regulations and authorities (e.g., DOSH, MPPD, PBT, ST, BOMBA, and MOH)
- Assist in fire safety readiness, including participation in fire drills and emergency response activities.
- Monitor the condition and performance of building-related systems and report abnormalities or irregular readings.
- Accurately record inspection findings, service logs, maintenance activities, and technical data.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas, tools, and equipment rooms.
- Collaborate with other technical staff and departments to ensure efficient task execution and minimal disruption to hospital operations.

- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the M&E Executive, Engineer, Head of LMO & Healthcare Engineering, DLMO, or CEO.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in facilities or hospital construction, renovation and maintenance.
- CIDB Green Card holder preferred.
- Able to read architectural and structural drawings and interpret specifications.
- Physically fit and able to lift, move, or handle heavy equipment or components with the support of proper tools or lifting aids.
- Possess a valid driving license and own transport.
