Healthcare Engineering Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on medical devices, diagnostic equipment, and hospital infrastructure systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems).
  • Diagnose equipment failures and provide technical support to healthcare professionals to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems meet regulatory, accreditation, and manufacturer standards, including calibration and safety checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and compliance checks using the hospital’s maintenance management system.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards to minimize risks to patients and staff.
  • Work with clinical teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
    Assist in managing inventory for spare parts and supplies needed for repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in healthcare engineering and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide on-call support during emergencies and participate in hospital code red or emergency drills.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experienced in medical equipment maintenance or healthcare facility engineering.
  • Relevant certifications in biomedical or facility management.
     

SKILLS:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with medical equipment regulations and compliance (e.g., FDA, JCI)
  • Knowledge of hospital infrastructure systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and respond to emergency situations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to both the Director of Operations (DOO) and the Chairman of UCSI Healthcare Group. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Handle all correspondence (emails, letters, memos) and respond on behalf of the DOO and Chairman when required.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and internal documents as directed.
  • Manage and coordinate complex calendars, schedules, and appointments for the DOO and Chairman.
  • Act as a point of contact between the DOO/Chairman and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Liaise with senior leadership, department heads, clients, and partners to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Organize and coordinate local and international travel, including accommodation, transport, visa arrangements, and detailed itineraries.
  • Assist in planning and executing corporate events, board meetings, and strategic forums.
  • Assist with the coordination of strategic projects and monitor progress against deadlines.
  • Compile data, perform basic analysis, and prepare executive summaries or dashboards as required.
  • Track project milestones and follow up on deliverables with relevant departments.
  • Manage filing systems (physical and digital) and ensure all documents are properly organized and accessible.
  • Handle confidential errands or personal tasks as assigned by the Chairman or DOO.
  • Monitor and order office supplies or equipment needed for the Executive Office.
  • Perform any other assignments/ projects given by the management from time to time.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Secretarial Studies, Office Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2–5 years as a Personal Assistant or Secretary or Executive Assistant to office management.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital productivity tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Google Workspace).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Civil Maintenance Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of building structures, finishes, ceilings, flooring, partitions, and roofing.
  • Conduct masonry, plastering, tiling, painting, and carpentry works as required.
  • Attend to defects, damages, or wear-and-tear issues promptly to avoid service disruptions.
  • Assist in civil-related works for renovation, refurbishment, and expansion projects.
  • Support contractors during on-site work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure all civil works are carried out in compliance with local regulations, hospital safety policies, and infection control requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation for inspections, repairs, and maintenance records.
  • Provide immediate civil maintenance support during emergencies (e.g., water leakage, structural issues, or damage caused by incidents).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Hospital CEO, DLMO or Head of Logistic Management Office and Healthcare Engineering

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or related field. Minimum SPM
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, construction, preferably in a hospital or large facility setting.
  • Knowledge of civil and structural maintenance, carpentry, painting, waterproofing and masonry.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and building plans.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and statutory requirements in Malaysia.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit to perform manual tasks.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and during emergencies when required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing patient files for patients’ clinic visits.
  • Assist Doctor during medical examinations and minor procedures with supervision and guidance from Doctor or Senior trained nurse.
  • Liaise with Senior trained nurse in making patient appointments.
  • Deal with phone inquiries to provide non-clinical advice and information on clinic services.

  • Minimum SPM qualification with 2 years of working experience.
  • Work experience in Customer Service, Clinic Administration, or the Hospital Industry is an added advantage.
